Taco fans rejoice! Austin-based Tex-Mex phenomenon Torchys Taco announced that the location in Shreveport is now open. The location is a few doors down from the Whole Foods Market on East 70th Street. Not all of the regular menu items are available as of right now. The limited menu includes these tacos: Trailer Park (fried chicken), Green Chile Pork, Fried Avocado, Chicken Fajita, Crossroads (Smoked Beef Brisket) and the Republican (Grilled Jalapeno Sausage). Family and Party Packs are also available if you want to feed the family. Plus snack on some Green Queso Chile, Guacamole, Juan’s Refried Beans and your choice of six salsas. And of course, some drinks.
Torchy’s Taco joins the new Zuzul, Grub Burger Bar, First Watch and La Madeline in the Whole Foods Market shopping complex. For those who might not know about Torchys Taco, they make tacos, salads, burritos and more. To date, over 70 Torchy’s Tacos exist with many more on the way including Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. We’ll see if the tacos, salads, sides and more live up to the hype now that Torchys Taco is now open. The hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
