From August 21 through October 3, 2020, you can see an incredible collection of work from local, regional, national and international artists. Head over to the Regional Arts Center at 321 W. 4th Street in downtown Texarkana for the 32nd Annual Juried Exhibition. The Texarkana Regional Arts & Humanities Council (TRAHC) with the sponsorship by the Yates Foundation continues the tradition of showcasing amazing art.
$4,750 in prizes will be awarded. An in-person reception takes place Friday, August 21st from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Enjoy an individually wrapped cookie from The Cookie Lady, bottled water and wine while viewing the artwork. Social distancing and face mask wearing will be required. For those who can’t make the reception, a live stream of the event occurs on their Facebook page starting at 7:00 pm.
After the opening of the 32nd Annual Juried Exhibition, you can visit the Texarkana center on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Hours are from Noon until 4:00 pm until October 3, 2021. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for short videos featuring the art pieces over the coming weeks.
TRAHC centers on the art, entertainment and arts education for Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas. They offer many opportunities for artists like ArtsSmart and activities for the public including events at the Perot Theatre, TAAC (TRAHC African-American Committee) and more.
