A Christmas Carol

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6

1st Annual Mistletoe & Memories Christmas Festival

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

They’re predicting snow in front of the community center at this first ever festival in the city. Listen to Christmas music sung by a local youth choir and enjoy free food thanks to the Women’s Service League. It’s small town Christmas at its best. Follow the event on Facebook.

37th Jefferson Candlelight Tour of Homes

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

View historic homes in the glow of candlelight. Learn all about their history and see their holiday decorations. Tours are also scheduled for Friday night and Saturday night. For more info, click here.

Tim Hawkins LIVE

7:00 pm

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7

High Lifter Shriners Charity Ride

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

The community can come together and raise donations through toys and fun for Shriners Hospital of Shreveport. There’s plenty of fun things to do for the whole family with bounce houses, pictures with Santa and of course some four wheeling and ATV rides through the park.

American Indian Crafts Day

9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Native Americans from around Louisiana will demonstrate and sell their work. See and buy everything from baskets to drums to wood carvings. For more info, click here.

Pigskins & Pucks

1:00 pm

Get your fill of sports! Start off by watching the LSU-Georgia Championship game at the viewing party. Admission is free. Bring your own food and drink. Then head across the street to George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum for a special “Stick It to Cancer” Shreveport Mudbugs hockey game at 7:11 pm. For more info, follow the event on Facebook.

Christmas on Main Street

3:30 pm – 7:30 pm

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8

Final Day for Rainbow City

Texarkana Community Ballet’s The Nutcracker
