See the World Through the Eyes of our Youth at Film Prize Junior

Film Prize Junior, the South’s largest online student film festival, will be kicking off its festival this Thursday, April 15. For 2021, a record number of student filmmakers from all parts of Louisiana submitted. You and everyone else can view and vote for their favorite for free. Starting at midnight on April 15 and running through April 25, head over to FilmPrizeJr.com to view more than 60 films online. The films are up for Best Film. New for 2021 will be Genre Awards for Best Comedy, Best Drama, Best Sci-Fi/Thriller, Best Stop Motion/Animation and Best Documentary PSA. In addition to the new awards, Louisiana Middle Schools entered in Film Prize Junior. They are up for awards for those creative geniuses as well.

Over $10,000 in scholarships and prizes will be awarded to the top short films. Not only can you vote for the Audience Choice Award, film industry experts will crown an overall Grand Prize Judges’ Choice Winner. Announcement of the winners takes place on Wednesday, April 28 at 5:00pm on the Film Prize Junior’s Facebook page.

Recently, the Prize Foundation partnered with the Louisiana Film Entertainment Association to further educational opportunities for aspiring filmmakers across the state.
