Roast a perfect marshmallow for a gourmet S’mores

S’mores. There’s just something perfect about the combination of graham crackers, chocolate, and roasted marshmallows. When you get the right roast on a S’Mores marshmallow, they are crunchy, gooey, and yummy. There’s no denying the fact that there isn’t much better than the traditional campfire treat. Seriously, it has been satisfying folks for more than 90 years. In fact, the first known S’mores recipe was published in the Girl Scouts handbook Tramping and Trailing With the Girl Scouts in 1927. That being said, we decided to try s’more (see what we did there?) ways to enjoy this ooey, gooey goodness.

It’s can certainly be fun sticking a marshmallow directly in the fire and watching it turn into a glowing ball of fiery sugar. But let’s be honest, a burnt-black marshmallow doesn’t really taste all that good smashed between sweet graham crackers and chocolate.

For these gourmet versions, you’ll need one that has been roasted to golden-brown perfection. Then sandwich it between some of these unique ingredients. Trust us, you’ll be saying, “Give me s’more!”

The Grasshopper – Chocolate Graham Crackers + Mint Chocolate + Marshmallow

The Elvis – Graham Crackers + Banana Slices + Peanut Butter Cups + Cooked Bacon + Marshmallow

Black Forest – Graham Crackers + Dark Chocolate + Cherry Jam + Marshmallow

Tropical Paradise – Chocolate Graham Crackers + Orange Slices + Coconut + Chocolate + Marshmallow
