In Partnership with the Southern Weekend

One heck of a shopping trip: Main to Main Trade Days is this weekend

One of the great traditions of Webster Parish is the annual Main to Main Trade Days. On the first weekend of November, you can drive the 45 milesĀ  from Sibley to Springhill. Stop in Minden, Dixie Inn, Cotton Valley and Sarepta. Why should you go? Because you can do a LOT of shopping and dining. Downtown Minden and Springhill will have vendors lining downtown. You might find a great Christmas gift or something to hang on your walls. Think of it as a giant flea market, garage sale and arts displays all rolled into one day trip.

Main to Main Trade Days runs from sunrise to dusk on November 6 and 7, 2020. Follow U.S. Highway 371 from Sibley north to Minden, head west on U.S. Highway 79 to Dixie Inn and finally make a right turn back on to 371 all the way to the Arkansas border. You can run the route in reverse of course.

There’s more than great deals on gifts. Explore the Webster Parish culinary scene with over two dozen restaurants participating. Grab a coffee for breakfast in Minden, seafood in Dixie Inn for lunch and choose between Greek and Chinese for dinner in Springhill.

While you’re in Webster Parish during the Main to Main Trade Days weekend, you can check out stops on the Louisiana Film Trail.
