New artwork on display at the Bossier Arts Council

The Bossier Arts Council continues to showcase great artists and their artwork. From August 1, 2020 to September 20, 2020 stop by 630 Barksdale Blvd. in Bossier City and see the works of Connie Stephens-Eaton and Carola Nix. Attend the opening reception for both artists on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

In the East Bank Gallery, view the colored pencil work of this German born artist. Nix has been living in Louisiana for many years and is currently a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and she received several awards in juried competitions. Additional recognition came in February 2012 and January 2013 from Our Louisiana magazine.

In the Emerging Gallery, see some of Natchitoches native Connie Stephens-Eaton’s collection of work. Her passion for art started at age 5. She’s won awards and been featured in several calendars, created jewelry and teaches art for continuing education at Bossier Parish Community College.

The Bossier Arts Council continues to support, promote artwork and provide cultural events for everyone in and around Bossier Parish. Along with the Emerging Galley and the East Bank Gallery, you can take in a production at the East Bank Theatre. For a complete list of events that the Bossier Arts Council hosts, click here.
