Join an artistic renaissance at Poetic Sundays

One man has a dream to better the community through poetry and you can join in.

Set out some time to enjoy some poetry, music and family fun. Every 3rd Sunday of the month from Noon to 5:00 pm, Come out to Caddo Common Park to see poets, musicians and artists. Poetic Sundays is free for people of all ages and is a part of the new Sundays in the Park with Artists. The Sunday, fun-day event gves creative artists a platform to express themselves. It’s a chance to join a poetic renaissance here in the Ark-La-Tex.

Poetic Sundays also has a platform for comedians and musicians. Another thing to look forward to is Poet On Ya Poetry Fest, its coming in October. Whether it be literary prose work or life experiences showcased through music, Poetic Sundays has something for all creative artists.

All who attend are encouraged to wear masks and maintain social distance. Be courteous and attentive. Maybe you’ll get to express yourself through spoken word or poetry. Find out more on the Poetic Sundays in Caddo Common Park Facebook page.

Poetic Sundays is one of the first scheduled events to take place in the new Caddo Common Park for UnCommon Weekends. More great art activities and events will be coming soon to this tranquil and beautiful area. UnCommon Weekends will be on the 3rd weekend of every month on Saturday and Sunday. The Caddo Common Park sits along Texas Avenue near the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.
