What a sweeeeet festival.
Juicy…sweet…delicious… some of the words you’re going to hear at the Hope Watermelon Festival. It’s happening Thursday, August 6 to Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Fair Park in Hope, Arkansas. Details are still being worked out and as more information becomes available we will update this page.
Below is what happened in 2019 and hopefully they will return this year.
There’s a ton of events going on for everyone from Watermelon Idol to Global 1 Pro Wrestling and GospelFest to the Politically Correct Watermelon Eating Contest. Governor Asa Hutchinson is scheduled to appear at the eating contest.
First of all, there’ll be ice cold watermelons to eat. $1.50 and $2.00 slices. Buy them Thursday from 12:00 pm-7:00 pm, Friday from 11:00 am-8:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am-9:00 pm. Look for the BIG tent.
Kids can play inside at the video game station. Or make them play outdoors at the Laser Tag Center and the Kids Zone! They will get to paint the bus, ride the camel or pony, and play in the petting zoo.
Get a workout in at the 5K Run & Melon Mile. Plus there will be a softball tournament and golf tournament.
Hope to see you out there at the Hope Watermelon Festival!
