Over a year ago when Covid-19 started up, many places shut down including the R.W. Norton Art Gallery. Not only have they opened since the Spring, but now they expanded their hours. You can visit Friday and Saturday from 1:00pm-7:00pm and on Sundays from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
You no longer need to reserve a ticket. While the pandemic continues, the museum asks that everyone respects a six foot social distancing space on museum and gardens grounds. Visitors now have to wear a mask (the mandate ends September 3, 2021).
During the shut down, the museum took the opportunity to perform some renovations. We’re excited to see what’s new in the American Landscape Gallery and the Modernism in Europe Gallery.
While you’re there, wander through the gardens! The R.W. Norton Art Gallery Botanical Gardens have been open for a while now with special hours.
More fun for the family!
Also returning is the Twilight Talkies series. Sit out on the Norton lawn to watch a free movie. Local food trucks plan to set up so you can buy dinner and snackies. For more information and to reserve tickets, follow the events on Facebook.
