The ArkLaTex’s Only Floating Obstacle Course and Children’s Aqua Park
Rocky Point Adventures is an experience unlike anything else in the East Texas area. It’s a giant floating waterpark of obstacle courses with sandy beaches. It’s located on the Ellison Creek Reservoir in Lone Star, Texas.
“[Opening] Rocky Point Adventures is a dream that I’ve had,” said Owner Ginger Smith. “In my real life I’m a mental health counselor and I spend time with kids and families, and the 50 minutes I get to spend with them never seems like enough. So my thought, when we had the opportunity to build this park, was to get families out and about together, and to go have fun locally in a place they can afford.”
And now, the resort-style setting is fun for people of all ages. Whether you want to participate in the floating challenge course, take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards, relax on the beach or enjoy the food and drinks from the deck, there’s something for everyone.
“I believe Rocky Point Adventures is a resort destination in the Ark-La-Tex area,” said General Manager Caryl Cochran. “It’s a place where you have well being: spiritually, mentally, and physically.”
“As soon as you step foot onto our sandy beaches, you’ll be whisked off into vacation mode. Get unlimited park access to enjoy our beach activities and amenities, plus 45 minutes on the 8,000 square foot pulse-pounding Challenge Course! Your session on ArkLaTex’s only floating challenge course will excite and thrill the adventure seeker in you!
Once you have conquered the course, you’re free to spend the rest of your day enjoying our resort-style setting relaxing alongside the beautiful Ellison Creek Reservoir (aka Lone Star Lake) or take advantage of our additional features including our zero gravity lounge chairs, food court, beach games, and more. A day of smiles guaranteed!”
In addition to the water and beachside adventures, Rocky Point Adventures also has a 4,000 square foot deck with a bar, outdoor seating and a place to listen to live music.
“We want laughter and music to reign supreme,” said Cochran. “We’re a music destination as well and we’re trying to feature our local artists. We want to give them a venue that they can show their talents to our community, and we want people to come out and enjoy it.”
