I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! It’s summer which means the heat is here and the ice cream parlors are ready to serve you! We have a list of ice cream parlors in the Shreveport-Bossier area to help you keep cool this summer season.

1. Yum-Yum Dessert Bar

Inspired by the streets of Thailand, Yum-Yum Dessert Bar is the first rolled ice cream shop in the Shreveport area! The goodness and richness of the ice cream rolled into a beautiful crisp cone, or cup for of your choice. With their many flavors, this is definitely a treat you would enjoy to get with friends and family.

2. Happy Belly’s

Known for their Italian Ices, Happy Belly’s also serves frozen custard (think ice cream but with eggs added). Add in one or more of twenty mixins to make a concrete dessert. Or add the custard to root beer or other soft drink to create an amazing float.

3. Sweetport

What started out as a neat ice cream truck has grown to a brick and mortar store. All of the handmade scoops are named after Shreveport icons (Murrell’s Milk Crunch, Clyde Fant Crunchway, etc.). Try the Chill Hill which is a sno-ball atop ice cream.

4. Marble Slab Creamery

Made right in store, Marble Slab Creamery will give you the dairy from local farms with a hand-rolled cone to make the perfect ice cream treat for you to enjoy. Since 1983,  they have stay true to their pure ingredients and personal making of their ice cream for you to see.

5. Baskins-Robbins

You will always get a sweet treat when go to Baskins Robbins.  They are the world’s largest ice cream chain in the nation with 7,800 shops and over 1,300 flavors of delicious ice cream.  There are several located in the Shreveport/Bossier City area.

6. Cold Stone Creamery

Cold Stone Creamery is going 25 years strong serving the freshest, finest ice cream to their customers.  One thing that sets them apart from other ice cream shops is their enthusiastic, singing crew because if you tip them they will happily sing for you.

7. Dairy Queen

The Dilly Bar, Blizzard and Peanut Buster Parfait are some of the incredible ice cream treats available at Dairy Queen. Treat yourself to a simple dipped cone or go all out for a banana split. And don’t forget about their ice cream cakes.
