Boozy drinks you should totally make using your slow cooker

'Crocktails' warming up Happy Hour this spring

You probably use your Crockpot for meals. But, be honest, how many of would make an alcoholic drinks in a slow cooker? These ‘Crocktails’ (as they are known in the biz) comes to us from Cleveland and the CLE Weekend. Enjoy these ‘Crocktails’ recipe to warm up Happy Hour this spring from Cribbs in the CLE.



1 bottle vodka

2 whole oranges, squeezed

1 gallon apple cider

14 black chai tea bags

Honey (garnish)

Cinnamon (garnish)


Add apple cider, squeezed oranges and tea to a large crockpot. Turn the crockpot on high and simmer for an hour. Add the vodka. Take a glass and rim the top with honey, then cinnamon. Fill the glass with the Bootwarmer crocktail. You can also garnish with a slice of orange.

Buckeye Vodka’s Apple Cider Hot Toddy


6 ounces apple cider

2 ounces water

½ – 1 teaspoon of Apple Pie Spice

1 ½ ounces of Buckeye Vodka

1 lemon (to be squeezed)

½ teaspoon honey

Cinnamon stick, Apple slice, or Lemon wheel for garnish


Combine apple cider, water, and apple piece spice in a crockpot and bring to a simmer. Combine Buckeye Vodka and lemon juice into a mug or cup. Strain hot spiced cider into a mug and stir in honey until melted. Garnish with Cinnamon Stick, Apple Slice, or Lemon Wheel.
