July is National Ice Cream Month. To mark the occasion, Blue Bell Creameries released Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream.
From their press release, “Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream is the perfect summertime dessert,” said Carl Breed, general sales manager for Blue Bell. “What better way to cool down at your next barbecue than with a bowl of our new flavor? Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream is light, and silky-smooth. You will find toasted coconut and swirls of whipped topping in every bite. The pie crust pieces tie it all together to capture the taste and texture of a real coconut cream pie.”
Find it for a limited time in your grocer’s freezer in half gallon and pint sizes (What? No bathtub size?). Also returning to the lineup: Strawberry Cheesecake and Krazy Kookie Dough. This announcement comes on the heels of another new flavor… Chocolate Sheet Cake.
Our suggestion: mix the Coconut Cream Pie with some Rocky Road for a joyous treat.
Don’t forget, there are several “National” days during National Ice Cream Month to enjoy ice cream…
- Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day (July 1)
- Strawberry Sundae Day (July 7)
- Peach Ice Cream Day (July 17)
- Ice Cream Day (July 18)
- Vanilla Ice Cream Day (July 23)
- Hot Fudge Sundae Day (July 25)
Although do you really need a holiday for some ice cream?
