BBQ Shrimp: Not BBQ at all

This New Orleans staple is high on flavor.

On a trip to New Orleans, La., Molly McKinney stopped by Restaurant R’evolution and was given a trial by fire in making BBQ shrimp by renowned chef John Folse. Think Shrimp Scampi but with a spicy and flavorful Cajun twist.

Here are the ingredients you need to make this New Orleans shrimp recipe.

Olive oil

Chopped garlic

Chopped andouille sausage

Whole shrimp

Worcestershire sauce

Shrimp stock

Touch of lemon juice



Pinch of salt and pepper

Your favorite beer

Mix and cook, olive oil, garlic and sausage together in a saucepan over medium heat for a few minutes. Add everything else. Cook the shrimp until they are done. Serve with pasta, rice or grits.
