Time for a martini with ARTini

Shaken or stirred, it's an amazing event.

Every year, the Bossier Arts Council (BAC) throws one amazing fundraiser party called ARTini featuring the famous martini. It combines good music, visual arts, and the culinary world for a night of great fun. Restaurants and businesses compete with their best martini recipes to win one of three categories: People’s Choice, Judge’s Choice, and Most M’artisinal. These aren’t your ordinary martinis. Even James Bond would be impressed with the imaginative variety of flavors. Some memorable flavors include Muffuletta, Smoke-infused coffee, Red Hots, BBQ, Chocolate Cake Mint, Puff Pastry, and a fruity martini with dry ice.

2021 marks the return of ARTini and the martini drinks. Make plans to attend the event on Saturday, June 12 from 7:00pm – 11:00pm at Sci-Port Discovery Center. Tickets are $75 and available here.

What to expect

When you arrive to the party, you will select your own martini glass that has been painted by local artists. Go around and sample the twenty different martinis. Pick out your favorite and drop your paper olive token into the box. The martini with the most olives will win the People’s Choice award. The Most M’artisinal Award goes to the martini that is the most creative.

Executive Director Robin Jones says that “all of that money goes to support the programming for the Bossier Arts Council throughout the year.”  This year’s theme is Pop Art. You will see a lot of work done by Lauren Ross Simmons. Music at the event provided by What the Funk?
