Robert Streeter — Ark-La-Tex Weekend Managing Editor
In the past ten years of living in the Ark-La-Tex, I’ve heard a lot of ‘What’s there to do here?’ or ‘There’s nothing to do.’ I’ve been surprised while creating television commercials for places around the area that there’s a LOT to do, eat, and experience. Now with Ark-La-Tex Weekend, I want to help get the word out about everything cool, fun, and exciting in Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas, and Northwest Louisiana.
A little bit about me… Chocoholic. Foodie that loves to try new restaurants. A Roster Artist on the Northwest Louisiana Artist Directory. I’ve worked with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Shreveport Common. One of my great accomplishments is a literary artist for the Shreveport Common app. Download it from Google Play or Apple App Store. Before taking on Ark-La-Tex Weekend I was the Commercial Producer and Creative Director at KSLA News 12. I’m getting more and more into photography. I have been awarded Grand Champion at the State Fair of Louisiana twice. See my work here.

I was born in Bossier City, Louisiana but grew up in the city of Shreveport. I went to Eden Gardens Elementary, Caddo Middle Magnet and C.E. Byrd high school until my junior year before transferring out of state due to my father’s military career. I have been working at KSLA News 12 for the past year as a morning show/ weekend producer. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Film from The University of North Texas and I am currently pursuing my Masters degree at Louisiana State University here in Shreveport. I have a strong passion for documentary film making and my future goals include opening up my own video production agency where I am free to document people’s unique stories. Ava Duvernay is one of the few black women in the film industry that I look up to. Seafood is my favorite type of food, I can never say no to a piece of strawberry cake and I own a Maltese named Brox and a Malti-Poo named Bella. I enjoy editing fun, entertaining and uplifting videos for Ark-La-Tex Weekend for our viewers to enjoy across the Ark-La-Tex.

I was born and raised in South Bossier. I married my high school sweetheart and we now have a one-year old son. We love getting to explore the Ark-La-Tex on the weekend and find new things to do. We are huge Disney Fans and love to travel to our second home whenever we can. I love to craft and believe the more glitter then better! Family involved activities are big for me and anytime I can include my son in the kitchen I do. We are huge movie fans and love going with our best friends. Have a magical day!

I was born in Baton Rouge and spent my entire life across Louisiana. I worked for ten years in Alexandria, before deciding to follow I49 north to the Ark-La-Tex. Naturally, I love it here. There’s some much to see, do and experience and with great destinations just a short drive from the Shreveport/Bossier metro, my favorite hobby of day-tripping is all too easy.
When I’m not travelling, or running a camera, my passion is and always will be music. I’ve grown up playing five instruments and performing with bands across the south. Some of my favorite memories of Shreveport before moving here were playing at Red River Revel and Mudbug Madness. Let’s just say this town knows how to party, and I love that.
I’m happily married to another travel lover, and if you see us exploring town, you’ll probably see her behind the camera more than myself. My wife Miranda and I have been married since 2015 and are loving finding out more about the Ark-La-Tex, everyday.
