Antique Adoption Trade Days

9:00am-5:00pm (Also on Saturday)

Red River Balloon Rally


Hot air balloons take to the skies this weekend. Competition will be held, weather permitting, in the morning at LSU-S but the party gets going with music, tethered balloon rides, the popular night glow and fireworks. Read more about it here.

Family Adventure Day


Pack a picnic lunch and the whole family can have fun fishing, canoeing and archery. Pre-registration is required by calling 318-929-2806. This is for ages 6 and up. For more info, follow the event on Facebook.

Get Hooked: Casting with the Pros


Introduce your kids ages 6 and up to fishing with the Lady Bass Anglers Association Women’s Pro Bass Tour. Some of the top anglers in the nation will demonstrate their casting skills, knot tying, fish identification and more fun things to do. Free and open to the public. For information, click here.

Ultimate Day Party


They’re bringing the beach to the Red River District in downtown Shreveport. Enjoy water slide bounce houses, inflatable pools in the VIP area, lots of great music and more fun things all afternoon. For info, read about it here.

The annual fundraiser for the Bossier Arts Council returns with twenty unique and interesting takes on the martini. See the art of Lauren Ross Simmons and listen to the music of What the Funk?. Tickets still available here.

Springtime Chamber Music


The Orchard Ensemble features Evan Mitchell, piano; Mark Miller, violin and Ute Miller, viola performing a variety of chamber music. Tickets are available here.

Beethoven & Hayden

3:00pm (Also on Saturday at 7:30pm)

It’s the final concert of the season for the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra. Wideman winning Pianist Alon Goldstein joins the group to perform Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 “Surprise” and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor.” It will be streamed online as well as a live audience.
