If you’re looking for fun things to do this weekend, we found a few across the Ark-La-Tex. We look for events that have a clear COVID-19 policy and/or for events outdoors for your safety. We hope you practice in face mask wearing and social distancing if you go to these events. Don’t forget, if you have an event coming up, add it to our calendar and you might be featured on the list one day.


Tour Beaver’s Bend State Park

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

It’s going to be a great weekend of activities at the Nature Center. See the park on a Segway for a few hours and enjoy nature. Reservations required. Find out how to register and take a look at more weekend events on their Facebook page.

Let’s Go Stargazing

7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Weather permitting, get away from the city lights and learn what you can see with the help of Park Rangers. After a 30 minute presentation, you’ll get 90 minutes of outdoor stargazing. Contact them for reservations and follow the event on Facebook.

Sale on the Trail

8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Travel along one of the most historic and important roadways in our area. You might even find a great deal as businesses, restaurants, and garage sales pop up on the El Camino Real route. You can also hit the trail all day on Friday. It’s 200 miles of fun, scenic views and shopping. For more info, check out our story.

Drive In Movie

7:00 pm

Join the Goonies gang as they hunt for pirate treasure! A complimentary bag of popcorn comes with the price of admission to watch 80’s classic, The Goonies. For tickets and more info, click here.

Triple T Amusement Fair

6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Ride some rides as this fair wraps up it’s weekend long stint in Marshall. There’ll be plenty of fun things to do and ride. COVID-19 protocols will be enforced (masks, 6 feet social distancing, 50% capacity). To see more, click here.

We Ride Together Community Bike Ride

6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bike) and enjoy an evening ride with many other bicyclists around downtown. Plus get a little exercise. For more info, follow the event on Facebook.
