The Texas-sized down-home humor returns to Bossier City for two shows featuring great comedy.
8 p.m. - 1923 Banana Club, 223 E. Front St., Texarkana, Ark
Candace Taylor and the Majestic All Star Band performs where you will not only hear great music but also experience what it is like in a 1920′s speakeasy.
SATURDAY, MAY 13
50th Annual Shreveport Bossier City Bonsai Show
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Bossier Arts Council (630 Barksdale Blvd.)
This show features trees grown and groomed by the members of the Shreveport Bossier City Bonsai Society. It is free and open to the public with demonstrations and a Q&A session.
Texarkana Dragon Boat Festival
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Bringle Lake Park, Texarkana
Teams of 20 paddlers compete in 46 foot long boats to see who can make it to the finish line the fastest.
7:30 p.m. Shreveport Municipal Auditorium
Tracing their roots all the way back to the mid 1980s, Boyz II Men have been one of the biggest acts to come out of Philadelphia. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the greatest hits of this acapella R&B group right before Mother’s Day. Read more about it here.

Shreveport is the home of Stuffed Shrimp and it’s time to eat a bunch of Shrimp. The kids will enjoy the Stuffed Shrimpland (kids play area).
