October fun in Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Tex. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - For those who think there’s nothing to do in Texarkana, well, we have a surprise for you. The City of Texarkana, Texas released a schedule filled with fun family activities at Spring Lake Park.

Movies in the Park - Thursdays in October

October 13 see The Lost City starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

October 20 watch the cult classic Hocus Pocus.

October 27 is the traditional showing of The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

Bring blankets and chairs and meet across from the airplane at dusk. It’s free to watch the movies. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Spring Lake Fall Festival

The Texarkana Parks Department presents this event filled with free games, a costume contest, candy and more. Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

Community Yard Sale

Find a treasure and some really great deals on Saturday, October 22 from 8:00am - 3:00pm. If you want to be a vendor, call (903) 798-3978. This event also is an opportunity for you to recycle some old electronics.

Trunk or Treat

Have fun in a safe environment as the Parks and Recreation Department along with the Texarkana, Texas Police Department hosts a Trunk or Treat from 3:00pm - 6:00pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
