Festival Plaza, Shreveport, Louisiana — SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Louisiana Soulfood Fall Festival has arrived. The festival features food, vendors, live music, and an artist showcase.
The Louisiana Food Fall Festival will be held from Aug. 26 through 28 and is open for all ages.
The festival is facilitated by Empire Queenz, a group of women trying to make positive moves and a difference within the City of Shreveport. The event is being held at Festival Plaza, located at 101 Crockett St. in downtown Shreveport.
There will be plenty of activities to enjoy, including:
- Judged Soul Food Cooking Competition with numerous awards
- Southern cuisine
- Live music
- Vendor’s Village
- Art Showcase and awards
- Various contests
“Everyone’s having a great time. The food as you see it’s a great time,” said Marvin Lockhart.
Some people said they’re happy to have events like this for their community.
“For one, yes we do need something like this to bring more people down. We’ve been shut down for so long. I think that it’s going to help bring the city more people in. I think it’ll prosper,” said Shana Warmsley.
Tickets start at $10 each for general admission for one day, weekend passes are $25, VIP experience is $50, and VIP experience+weekend pass is $125.
