White Christmas comes to the Shreveport Little Theatre

Tickets are on sale now for the Shreveport Little Theatre (SLT) and their holiday production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. This is one of the largest productions the theatre company ever produced so you don’t want to miss the spectacle. “This musical, with its beautiful costuming, is SLT’s holiday gift to our community,” according to Dr. Robert Darrow, SLT’s managing and artistic director. Over two dozens actors take the stage for this musical based on the famous film.

Director Rich Hansil says, “The film is one of my favorites, with its combination of star power, beautiful technicolor, and stellar song and dance numbers, but seeing it live on the stage brings a special kind of magic. I’m so excited for audiences to hear the songs that musical director Adam Philley has brought to life with our cast and see the dance numbers that choreographer Laura Beeman Nugent has cooked up. Coming from the TV/Film world and seeing a classic come to life like this has been the experience of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to share it with our audience.”

Performances are scheduled for Dec 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 pm, and Dec. 12, 18 and 19 at 2:00 pm. Purchase tickets at the box office at 812 Margaret Place in Shreveport, calling them at (318) 424-4439 or online here.

This White Christmas holiday special is one of many scheduled to celebrate the 100 years of the Shreveport Little Theatre. See the full schedule here.
