This Gem, Mineral, & Jewelry Show ROCKS!

Nature’s best works on display and for sale

Every summer, the Ark-La-Tex Gem & Mineral Club hosts the annual Gem, Mineral, & Jewelry Show. See it at the Bossier Civic Center. Vendors will sell everything from beads to custom and unique jewelry. You’ll find gems and minerals from amethysts to emeralds, pearls, Louisiana opals, fossils, and more.

You and children will learn from many demonstrations. See step-by-step the process of faceting. Watch how arrowheads were made using “knapping.” Find out how to convert a rough mineral into a piece of wearable or displayable jewelry or art. Watch as experts crack open geodes to reveal what’s inside.

Door prizes will be held hourly and there will be a silent auction for unique fossils, rocks, gems, and minerals. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Saturday morning, kids can play in the scavenger hunt. This show is a great way to explore the natural world.
