Front Street - No trip wouldn’t be complete without a stop at historic Front Street. The classic architecture offers several stops to take photos. Ad you can’t forget the Natchitoches Christmas Festival with all of the lights overhead. The posts supporting the second story overhang can make for a great composition for setting up a subject. You might even see a horse and carriage along the street. At the north end, a small island contains benches and flora that’s great for pictures.

City Hall - The giant tree on the corner of 2nd Street and St. Denis St. makes a great backdrop for large groups of people. Depending on the time of the year, the city decorates the corner for a more intimate setting.

Natchitoches City Park - With wide open spaces and a fun playground, pictures with the kids won’t be a hassle. The new seating area/amphitheater at the corner of 2nd St. and Amulet contains some fun shapes and curves to create a unique snapshot.

Cane River Lake - Go down by Cane River Lake and set sail on the Cane River Queen for spectacular shots of the city. The new pavilion offers a modern feel with the natural backdrop of the lake.

Northwestern State University - You can find a few places for photos on campus. We like the fountain and the pillars around Central Avenue and Caldwell Drive.  Also, take a stroll down S. Jefferson St. along Chaplin Lake.

Beau Jardin - This place is one of the most photographed locations in the Ark-La-Tex. The flowers and waterfall offer tranquil and beautiful locations for romantic pictures. Don’t forget about graduation pictures there as well.

Sibley Lake - On the north side of Sibley Lake, stop by the boat launch at the intersection of Highway 3191 and Sorgee Road. You have a number photographic locales to choose from. Walk on the pier for pictures.

Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame - For a more modern backdrop, check out the exterior of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum. The weaving panels play well with the different times of the day.
