2 brewing methods for coffee

Different brew methods yield different results.

The brewing method for your coffee is just as important as your choice of beans. Peter Lyons of Lyons’ Pride Coffee shows us 2 brewing methods. See the difference between a French Press coffeemaker and the Clever Dripper.  The same amount of coffee and water is used. The grind size is different for each method. The French Press was left to steep an extra minute due to the grind size. You’ll be surprised to see the results. Even the taste changes between the two finished drinks.

If you like the taste of a particular coffee, try different brew methods. You might discover a crisper taste or a cup of coffee that has a little more particulate.

Lyons’ Pride Coffee is a new business launching in Shreveport. A roastery is under construction but some amazing bags of coffee are available. Check out Peter’s business at his Facebook page. Classes about coffee and tastings are available. Sometimes he presents these tastings and classes at Cohab (500 Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport.) You can also see his recipe for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee here.
