It’s to support the efforts of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. One of their important and successful projects is The Hope Lodge. It provides free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers along with free transportation to their treatment facility. In 2017, they served 31 patients. The total savings for the patients and their families was an estimated $36,720 with 204 nights of lodging.
