Walk Around Lufkin’s Ellen Trout Zoo

With over 800 animals, there's something for everyone at this East Texas Zoo.

White Rhinos, Malayan Tapirs, Maasai Giraffes and free-roaming Peacocks are just a few of the animals you’ll see at The Ellen Trout Zoo.  The zoo houses over 800 mammals, birds and reptiles from around the world.

The Ellen Trout Zoo was founded in 1967, and has been a destination in Lufkin ever since.

The zoo is open every day of the year starting at 9 a.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3.50 for kids 4-11. All kids under 4 get in for free.
