Could you be the next big country music star?

The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and the Tex Ritter Museum will be holding a country music audition for the John Ritter Tribute Showcase. Live try outs are June 22, 2019 at the museum at 310 W. Panola Street in Carthage, Texas. Perform in front of celebrity judges and industry experts, some of them from Nashville. The Showcase is named after John Ritter, Tex Ritter’s actor son, because the family wanted to do something to help young people get started in the business.

Amateur country musicians only can participate. Tryouts are first come, first served. Registration forms are available at https://www.tcmhof.com/showcase. Solo acts only. Registration ends at 12:00 pm the day of the auditions. Contestants must supply their own back-up music. Thirty contestants will be chosen to compete at the finals during the annual Classic Country Music Festival in Carthage, Tex.
