There’s a Gumbo Cookoff & Festival y’all. Yum!

How about all you can try gumbo (while supplies last) at this festival!

The Logansport riverfront will come alive with the smells of Cajun cuisine on Saturday October 12, 2019. Teams from all over plan to cook it out at the Battle of the Paddle at the 3rd Annual Northwest Louisiana Gumbo Cookoff & Festival. Teams start their Cajun cookery at 7:00am. Gates open to the public at 10:00am. Purchasing a day pass allows visitors to sample all of the gumbo while supplies last starting at 11:30am. The main competition focuses on chicken and sausage gumbo. This year organizers created a second competition for seafood gumbo, jambalaya, chili and more. For those who might not care for gumbo, food vendors plan to sell a wide variety of cuisines.
