The Multicultural Center of the South’s mission is to educate the general public and visitors about the rich diversity and history of Shreveport-Bossier, Northwest Louisiana and the South. Established in 1999, the Center is Louisiana’s only multicultural center. Located at 520 Spring Street in the heart of downtown Shreveport, the Center hosts numerous cultural exhibits, musical programs, artistic endeavors, and demonstrations that encourage visitors to take a vicarious journey to distant lands to learn about the practices and traditions transported to this country by long-ago and present day immigrants. Check out their Christmas Around the World display every December as well.
