Sink your teeth into a BBQ Cook-off

The Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors invite you to the 7th Annual BBQ Cook-off on Saturday, April 27. Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport will be smelling of pork, chicken and more as teams from all over compete to see who’s the best. The National BBQ Festival sanctions this event so you know it’s going to be good. Four categories are up for grabs: Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork and Brisket.

Admission is $10 for everyone 13 and older. Five tasting tickets and one voting token comes with the admission. The voting token comes in handy. Once you find the best BBQ team, drop the token into their bucket. One team will win the coveted People’s Choice “Belly Buster” Award. The winner takes home the trophy and $1,000. It might be one of the most important votes of your life.

The Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors are a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing our community through social, service and networking activities. You might know their signature event: Holiday in Dixie. Learn more about them on their website.
