Set sail on the Cane River Queen

See historic Natchitoches in a whole new way.

The oldest city in the Louisiana Purchase now has something new to experience. Cane River Paddle and Pedal Sports now offer cruises along the river in Natchitoches. Captain Paul Lohr built the Cane River Queen and sails the boat up and down the Cane River. The boat has 333 feet of pontoons under it with 38 air-tight chambers making the boat very stable. Plus the Cane River is known for being calm so the cruise is smooth and relaxing.

Up to 60 people can travel on the boat. During the cruise you’ll see historic Front Street and hear about the history of Natchitoches. Cruises happen Wednesday through Friday. Try for the sunset cruise for some great picture taking. For ticket information and scheduled departure times, check out their Facebook page and their website.

In addition to the Cane River Queen cruise, Cane River Paddle and Pedal Sports also offers paddle boarding, kayaking and on-the-river yoga. They are located next to the river in Natchitoches.
