A week of critically acclaimed films and fun
The mission of the North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is to recognize the important contributions that LGBT people have made to our culture. This week long festival in September takes place at the Robinson Film Center (617 Texas St. in downtown Shreveport.) You’ll see movies and short films from all sorts of genres: comedies, documentary films, musicals, a short film program. See the schedule and buy a festival pass at the website. Individual film tickets are available at the Robinson Film Center.
Experience a lot more than just the cinema during the festival. For some of the films, stay afterwards for a Q&A with cast members or directors. Reserve your ticket for The NLGLFF Reception. You can meet and greet stars and directors and view a movie afterwards. Reception tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and available here.
Sunday, enjoy one of the newest engagements for the festival: The Sunday Drag Brunch. Drag queens and kings will be in attendance.
The North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is presented by PACE (People Acting for Change and Equality), a nonpartisan organization that works to advance equality in Northwest Louisiana so that the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community can lead open, honest, responsible, and safe lives at home in the workplace.
