COVID-19 UPDATE: All Louisiana state parks opened up on Friday, May 15 with the exception of Lake Bistinenau. That state park along with two others are housing COVID-19 positive patients. Reservations will be taken for campsites, cabins, large capacity lodges, meeting rooms, and group camps. Louisianans are encouraged to get out and explore our state parks and state historic sites in a safe manner, respecting social distancing and the Governor’s guidelines for Phase 1, keeping within in the 25% capacity for these facilities.

Come visit one of Northwest Louisiana’s hidden treasures, Chemin-A-Haut State Park. This park offers fishing, hiking and various on-site activities for the kids. Take a tour through surrounding lake, take an adventure, try out Waterskiing while your at the Jimmie Davis State Park.

Travel to a park that provides Piney forests, five fishing piers and a beautiful lake set to attract visitors from within the Ark-La-Tex and beyond. If that’s not enough you can go for a 4 mile run on any of the four trails.
225 State Park Road Homer
This park is a place known to have avid fishermen.
Come try out a little camping for the weekend. There are more than 87 campsites, at a going rate of as low as $25 a night.
201 State Park Road St. Joseph
There are many fun attractions for both adults and kids here at Lake Bruin State Park. A full water playground for the kids and freshwater fishing for the adults.
2907 North Toledo Park Road Zwolle
Take a step back and relax in the presence of nature, at one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the World. More than 900 acres for camping, picnic and family hiking.
103 State Park Road, Doyline, LA 71023
A park with a vast history that dates back to 1800’s. This park offers many family fun activities. This park has biking trails, hiking, playground area for the kiddos. Some of the other features include a camping site and Lake Bistineau State Park is a great place for fishing. There are various different types of fish found in these waters, including yellow bass, largemouth bass, bluegrill are just a few to name.
