It's one of the most popular parades in the Ark-La-Tex!

Parade Date: Saturday, February 15

Start Time: 3:30 pm

Krewe of Centaur Parade Route: Starts at Sci-Port in downtown Shreveport (Clyde Fant Parkway and Lake Street). It proceeds south and exits on to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. The parade turns left on to Kings Highway. It ends at the duck pond park at East Preston Avenue.

There is a family friendly section along the Centaur parade route from the railroad bridge to the Stoner Avenue exit. There is no alcohol allowed in this area.

About the krewe…

According to their website, the Krewe of Centaur started to build a better community and the pursuit of good family fun. The krewe chose the name of the half-man, half-horse Centaur in recognition of the horse racing and gaming industry in the area. It’s one of the largest krewes in the area and in Louisiana.
