Jefferson Quilt Show: A tapestry of tradition

The Jefferson Regional Quilt Alliance (JRQA) proudly presents their 2020 Jefferson Quilt Show “Quilts on the Bayou” on January 24-25, 2020. See amazing quilts at the Jeffersonian Institute at 120 E. Austin Street. Quilters from as far away as New York submit their best work to win the Best of Show and one of many other prizes in several categories.

  • Youth Quilt
  • Bed Quilt

and more.

The show runs from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults. $4 for kids 6-12 and a two day pass is $9. While taking a look at the beautiful quilts, make sure to check out over two dozen vendors with all sorts of quilting accessories.  The JRQA likes to recognize quilters for their talent and creativity. In addition to the show, you could win a quilt by entering into the raffle.

In addition to the Quilt Show, enjoy an an Antique Quilt Exhibit at the nearby Jefferson Historical Society and Museum. Many of the quilts on displays were made in Marion County. The exhibit begins on January 20 and closes on January 26. Museum hours are 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
