Fun Weekend Ideas for March 20-22

Just because there aren't a lot of events going, doesn't mean the weekend needs to be boring.

With all this Coronavirus stuff going around, we didn’t want to showcase local events. We don’t want you getting sick or being exposed to that nasty virus. Instead, we present these “Fun Weekend Ideas” with the help of First Alert Meteorologist Jessica Moore.

FRIDAY

Looks like rain may be ending by the evening with a cool down. Our suggestion is curling up with a good book. Here’s a list we put together about books written about our area. Or reminisce about Mardi Gras with these books.

SATURDAY

Looks to be the best day of the weekend! There may be a shower but for parts of the day you can get out and take a walk. Temperatures range from upper 50s to low 60s. Some local National Parks, Forests and sites may still be open. Check on local park closures on the National Park website. If they’re open, go take a stroll.

SUNDAY

The rain makes a comeback. Expect temperatures in the 50s all day. We suggest taking up a new hobby. Maybe painting or acrylic pour.
