Enter the world of Digifest South

Digifest South celebrates science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education. The goals for Digifest South include inspiring students to seek advanced education in digital arts, demonstrate the economic significance of digital skills and emphasize the importance of STEAM education models. The Bossier Arts Council is proud to present the festival. Five distinct Digi-expos make up the world of Digifest South.

Digifest South

DigiCode – A game development competition. Digifest South begins with a 48 hour video game design and development contest. Students with backgrounds in programming, illustrating or designing are put together to make a team. School teams can also participate. Each team must design and develop a fully working video game. September 13-15

DigiArt – A digital art competition. Digital art continues to evolve. Local artists of all ages submitted their original work into a digital photography or digital graphics. Winners will receive $100 in cash and prizes and the entries will be in a traveling digital gallery show. September 13-19

Digifest Expo

DigiExpo – Digital Technology Education Expo. Regional organizations and businesses come together at the Bossier Civic Center. They will demonstrate to Caddo, Bossier and Webster Parish students how they use technology in their daily jobs. Students can participate in live demonstrations. September 18-19.

DigiMixer – The public is invited to the Bossier Civic Center from 6:00pm-8:00pm to meet local companies that effectively use technology in their business. See what the future holds for technological companies in the Ark-La-Tex. September 18

DigiMusic – Outdoor Musical Concert. The world of Digifest South concludes with a free outdoor concert. The Bossier City East Bank District and Plaza on Barksdale Boulevard will be rocking. Listen to a high-octane electronic-based musical show. Plus see an incredible laser light show and dancers. September 20 from 7:00pm-10:00pm
