It's simpler than you think...
Brewing beer sounds like a complicated mess of ingredients and twisting tubes and canisters and wait, what’s that weird grain over there?
We’ve distilled the absolute most basic info a person needs to get started brewing their own beer at home. Kyle DuPont at Brewstock in New Orleans walks us through how easy it actually is and gives his two tips for making sure your first batch of beer is not a total disaster.
Hey, it’s brewing season, so let’s get started.
Here are a few tips for brewing beer made easy.
- Start with malt extract. You can probably make it on your stove.
- Be patient with the yeast. It can take up to two weeks to complete the process.
- Half of brewing is making sure everything is sanitized. Who wants to drink beer made in dirty containers or out of a dirty glass?
- Don’t expect a fantastic tasting beer on your first go-round. It may take several tries to concoct something you like.
Hopefully these tips will help you get started on the right foot on the path to becoming the next great brewmaster. Cheers!
