You can stroll the Botanical Gardens again at R.W. Norton Art Gallery starting this Saturday, May 16th!
The new Summer Hours are:
Monday – Thursday: 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Friday – Sunday: 6:30 am – 8:30 pm
Unlike the old operating hours, the Norton botanical gardens remain closed during the day until 4:00 pm due to reduced staffing. The fenced gardens will be accessed solely through the main service gate near Creswell Avenue. However, none of those restrictions apply to the garden area west Creswell or the “island” in front of the museum’s main entrance. You are still able to visit them from dawn to dusk, year round.
Many have enjoyed the 40 acres behind the museum over the decades. Thousands of Azalea bushes bloom every Spring in a variety of pinks, whites and magentas. Stroll through nature and enjoy the outdoor sculptures, the cascading stream and unwind in nature.
Always remember to please be respectful of your fellow visitor by maintaining appropriate social distancing during your stroll.
