DIY Bacon Bourbon

Bacon. Bourbon. Put them together and you get the most amazing bourbon infused with bacon.

If you’re a fan of bacon and if you’re a fan of bourbon, pay attention. There’s a way to infuse your bourbon with the deliciousness of bacon to create the magic that is a Bacon Bourbon beverage. It may take some times (3 days) but it will be worth it


  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 bottle of bourbon


Spread bacon out on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes on the bottom rack. Place the bacon on paper towels so you can make Chocolate Bacon later. Drain bacon fat into a glass or other temperature proof jar. Take out ¼ cup of bourbon from the bottle. What you do with that ¼ cup of bourbon is up to you. Pour bourbon and ¼ cup of bacon fat into a large bottle or container. Let stand four hours yet stir occasionally. Place mixture into the fridge for three days. Use a coffee filter and filter the bacon bourbon beverage back into the original bourbon bottle. Serve and enjoy. This can go great with a BLFGT Sandwich.
