Ark-La-Tex Summer Camps 2020

A fun and educational experience awaits your kids at summer camps in the Ark-La-Tex. Here’s a few of we found.

Shreveport AquariumSign Up Here – Camp Aqua merges science exploration and hands-on fun. Camps scheduled to start on June and run through July.

YMCASign Up Here – Camps will take place starting on May 26 and run through July 31. These are week long camp sessions at the BHP Billiton YMCA.

The Swim SchoolSign Up Here – Sessions start May 26 and last until mid-August. Several different age group sessions are available at the Shreveport and Bossier City locations.

Louisiana CheernasticsSign Up Here – For kids 6-12, they can spend 12 weeks of summer having fun tumbling and cheering.

Artspace Summer CampSign Up Here – Campers will learn the art of storytelling through comic strips, self-portraits and other methods of creative expression, turning themselves into artwork and imagining themselves in far-out places!

Camp Bethany Church CampSign Up Here – Several camp sessions are going on here hosted by local churches. The dates and registrations can be found on their site.

Robinson Film Center Summer Film CampsSign Up Here – Some are in person camps while others are virtual camps. Discover what goes on behind the scenes in filmmaking starting June 22 through July 31.

Shreveport Little TheatreSign Up Here – The theatre is having virtual “Mouse Mania” Academy Camp for students ages 6 and 18. A virtual theatre camp that will help your stage acting skills develop. the camp is from June 29 through July 17th.

Northeast Texas Summer Camps

Camp Fern Sign Up Here – It is a summer camp that is all outdoors in Marshall, TX. The camp takes place in the rolling hills and tall pines, on a private lake. The camp is mainly for children 6 to 16 years old founded on Christian beliefs. They strive to give the kids physical, emotional, and social enrichment while attending the camp. The camp starts in May through August but is separated from girls, co-ed, and boys.

Camp Huawni Sign Up Here Р With more than 20 summer activities, this is a camp you want your kids at with all the outdoor water and land activities. Located in Timpson, TX, Camp Huawni likes to keep camp life traditional with camp life for boys and girls. Fun and meaningful friendship is what they are all about.  The camp is for grades 1st through 11th grade and is from late May until late July.

Silvermoon Children’s Theatre Sign Up Here – The Silvermoon Children’s Theatre in Texarkana, TX is having a new production camp for children interested in theatre. Whether you want to be on stage doing musical theatre, learning choreography, or a crew member working back stage; they will go over all these at the camp. The camp is for ages 12 – 18 is a fun filled back two week summer theatre camp with at the end producing four shows.

Discovery Place Interactive MuseumGet Info Here – Every Saturday starting June 13 through July 25, the museum hosts DIY projects for the kids. They can create everything from Flip Books to a Volcano Science Experiment.

Summer at St. James Day SchoolSign Up Here – This exciting camp is ready for kids ages 3-8th grade. Activities include Adventureland and bugs for the young ones and Sports and Field Trip Days for the big kids.

Southwest Arkansas Summer Camps

2020 Junior Ranger CampSign Up Here – 20 students between the ages of 10 and 13 will engage with Park Rangers and field experts on subjects of historic and natural sites in the state and artistic creation. The virtual camp runs from July 27 to July 31. Offered by the President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site in Hope.
