A Weekend at the Dog Show

The Texarkana Four States Fairgrounds will be going to the dogs. Literally at the 2020 AKC All-Breed Dog Show.

Come out to one of the largest events in Texarkana on the first weekend of February. See over 1,000 canines compete. From Dachshunds to Poodles to Great Danes, now’s your chance to see over 120 breeds strut their stuff to win Best in Show. Dogs are placed into groups such as Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Herding and others. And yes… there will be PUPPIES! Watch the group winners go for it all in the Best-in-Show competition.

See some of the best dogs, handlers, and judges coming from all over the U.S. and from around the world. Shows are Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th at the Texarkana Four States Fairgrounds 3700 East 50th Street, Texarkana, Ark). Group competitions begin early each morning. The Best-in-Show event usually starts around 3:00-5:00pm on both days.

Looking for something special for Fido? Pamper your pup with a wide variety of unique dog products at the dog show from several vendors. Join the fun and you can win. On Saturday, participate in the raffle for great prizes. Come learn about The Kennel Club of Texarkana and their mission: promote and enhance the care and welfare of all breeds of purebred dogs – Rescue and promote the adoption of dogs – Train & certify dogs for Therapy and Canine Good Citizenship – Promote responsible dog ownership – Prevent cruelty to all animals. The Club offers obedience training classes twice each year to the public and club members.
