Balloons are taking to the skies over the Ark-La-Tex.
You’re going to see a lot in the sky during the Red River Balloon Rally. Dozens of hot air balloons will descend on the fields behind LSUS for this exciting event. You’re invited Friday and Saturday (July 13 & 14) evenings starting at 5:00pm. Meet the balloon crews. Listen to some music. Let the little ones have fun in the Kidz Fun Zone. Watch the skydiving demonstration. Ride in a tethered balloon. There’s a lot more to do as well. Then at 8:30pm, watch over 30 balloons light it up for the Red River Balloon Glow and fireworks an hour later at 9:30pm. Friday’s musical acts include Alive by Sunrise and Crowder as part of Faith and Family Night. Robert Mizell and Southern Roots performs Saturday at 5:00pm and the Molly Ringwalds take the stage after the fireworks at 9:40pm. Parking at LSUS will cost $5.
